Commerical Operations, Consumer Products, 2024

I’m a Columbus native attending the University of South Carolina. I was an intern with the Consumer Products commercial operations team at Worthington Enterprises and completed the Summer Internship Program in August 2024.

During this time, I had the opportunity to work on several impactful projects aimed at enhancing communication and efficiency across the commercial team, including creating a new SharePoint site to improve resource accessibility, developing a new Teams page framework to streamline file sharing and conducting a channel audit for improved data integrity. As I look back over the past three months, I’m realizing the tangible impact my work has had and I’m excited to share these highlights with employees and leadership as part of my concluding presentation.

Being involved in the intern program was such a rewarding experience. The HR team at Worthington did a fantastic job putting together the program, making sure sessions are both educational and engaging. I attended a resume writing workshop, DEI training and a data literacy seminar where I learned valuable, real-world information.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to gain experience from the talented Consumer Products commercial team at Worthington. The guidance and support from my supervisor has been instrumental in my growth and development and the entire experience was so enriching, equipping me with skills and knowledge that will be instrumental as I move forward in my career.
